Mini Mountain Man
We spent the weekend up on Mount Laguna with grandma and grandpa camping in our homes on wheels. Nathan had a great time and so did Milo. Nathan met some new friends while fishing at Cuyamaca and they even let him real in his first rainbow trout. We fed the ducks, went hiking, hung out at camp and just enjoyed being away from the hot hot heat of San Diego (though it was pretty warm up there too).

Mexico Mother's Day 2008
we just had a great weekend in Mexico. Weather was perfect and Milo loved it. He had a great time playing with all of the dogs and following the kids around. Nathan is getting very mobil and curious. There is no sitting still when he is around. He kept walking behind the trailer to try to get on Grandpa's motorcycle while making a motorcycle sound. When on the boat he wasn't happy unless he was driving! Good weekend and will be back in two weeks.

14-months= full fledge toddlerhood
Nathan is 14 months today. We have officially left infancy behind and there is no turning back. Day to day is a rollercoaster ride of ups and downs, amazing highs and frustrating lows. Nathan is saying some pretty funny things these days. A few examples:
us: "Nathan what does a kitty say?"
him: "Mwua Mwua" (read: meow meow)
us: "Nathan, what does a motorcycle say?"
him: "mummm mummmm"
us: "Nathan, get your shoes so we can go outside."
him: as he bring us his shoes "shiz shiz, ausize" (read: shoes, shoes, outside)
other fun words: brush (while brushing teeth), push (while pusing the button to open the garage door) door (when opening and closing)
He is saying new fun things every day.
Now for the lows. Tantrums....this kid can throw a tantrum. Wonder where he gets that (certainly not from his mother...wink wink). The hardest part about it is he laughs when you try to discipline him. Well, it is so hard not to laugh when he's laughing, but we are learning. Nathan has also decided that he doesn't like certain foods. Meal time is becoming oh so fun. Suddenly avacado, chicken, any veggie, etc. etc. is more fun to spit out and throw then actually consume. Lovely!!!
Wouldn't trade who he is becoming for the world though. It is so fun to watch him soak up the world and make sense of it.
