Memorial Day Weekend

Nathan and I were well taken care of this weekend. Our friends made sure that we were never lonely or bored since Daddy is away right now. We started with a playdate with our friends Meg and Tobin on Saturday morning. After nap we went to Aki, Laura and Kory's for a BBQ and swim. Nathan and Kory had a blast running around and rolling in the grass. Sunday we spent the morning at home watching Thomas and playing, then went to my friend Kristin's grad school graduation party and hung out with other work friends. Today Nathan and I went to the zoo to see the new Elephant Odyssey elephant exhibit and walked around and rode the train. Then after a nice long (score) nap, we were invited to join Danielle and Craig and some of their friends for an afternoon at the splash park and BBQing. Nathan was in heaven running around at the water park and playing on the playground. He was even more stoked to find out that Tracy's girls had a train table and tons of Thomas and Friends in their playroom. Thank you so much to all of our wonderful friends who took care to see that we were never bored while Brian was gone.

Mother's Day Weekend in San Simeon

We spent Mother's Day weekend up on the central coast with my family to celebrate my parent's 35th wedding anniversary at their favorite spot (San Simeon). We stayed at a water front resort with incredible views from our hotel window. It was a relaxing weekend that included playing on the beach, swimming, hiking, a relaxing massage and nightly gatherings around the hotel's beachfront firepits. Definitely a relaxing way to spend Mother's Day. Despite horrible traffic, we managed to get back to San Diego in time for Dinner with Brian's side of the family. Unfortunately bot Brian and I were feeling under the weather, so we weren't much for company that evening.
