Feeling Hot Hot Hot!

We spent last weekend down in Mexico and it was HOT! The shade was reading 108-110, so you know it was even hotter in the sun. Nathan and Milo enjoyed playing with everyone and relaxing both on the patio and in the water. Bot boys went for kyak rides, swam and got plenty of attention. Despite the heat, we all enjoyed ourselves. We celebrated Dave and Doug's birthdays with dinner at Guzmans where Nathan entertained everyone with his dancing to the Grease soundtrack.

Nathan enjoyed playing with Kory's toys, especially the lawn mower and his floating "but" (boat). Thanks for sharing Kory. His obsession with "mocycle's" continues and he sat on every quad or golfcart he could find. All in all it was a fun weekend, but a bit too hot for this former Fresnan (can you believe it?).

15 months old

Nathan is now 15 months old. Every day he changes and becomes more of a little boy. It is so fun to watch him learn new words, enjoy an activity or just smile at us. He has started to develop his opinions and man if you don't share his opinion watch out!! He is head strong. Just when you think he is angry, he runs up and hugs and kisses you. These are definitely fun times. Nathan's vocabulary is expanding by leaps and bounds these days. Every day it is something new. Gotta watch what you say too because he is a little mockingbird these days.

Some of Nathan's favorite things these days: going to the park and going down the "sice" (slide), walking the dog, blowing bubbles, swimming, skateboarding with daddy and on his own, reading books. When you sing the itsy bitsy he will say "pida" and do little hand motions, which he must of learned at daycare. He loves "watching" Yo Gabba Gabba but his attention span is all of 5 minutes.

Some of his not so favorite things these days includes; being told no, not being able to go "outsize" (outside), eating foods he thinks he doesn't like.

Toddlerhood is so much fun! Everyday is something new.

We Forget How Much Fun It Is To Stay Home

It was a great weekend to live in San Diego. We are out of town so much, we forget what a great place we live in. Our weekend started out on Friday night with a family BBQ at Mission Bay. We loaded Nathan, Milo, the grill and some drinks in the cooler and headed out to Quivera Basin to enjoy the great weather. Grandma Lois and Grandpa Larry came in late Friday night. We took advantage of the free entrance to the Scripps Acquarium for B of A cardholders on Saturday. Nathan enjoyed looking at the fish, touching the fish and playing at the Current Water Table, oh and pushing any button he could get his hands on. After nap we headed over to go Wine Tasting with the Davies Sr. and Garcia families and then had a yummy dinner at Julie and Art's. Brian headed out to go fishing on Doug's boat this morning and the rest of us took Nathan to the playground at Mission Bay so he could go down the "sice" (slide) and play on the structures. Again, it was a great weekend to sit back and enjoy our fine city.

Nathan's First Haircut

Well, it was time to cut the mullet, AKA, Yes-No,Shlong (short-long),Ape Drape, Neck Warmer, Long Island Iced Tease, Kentucky Waterfall, Mud Flap, Hack Job, The Boz (for Brian Bosworth), River Cut, Neck Blanket,Guido, Beaver Paddle, STLB (short top long back), Camaro Cut, Doggy Door, business in front, party in the back.

He wasn't too keen on getting strapped in a chair and having someone slice away but he was ok after a few minutes and we were on our way. Handsome little dude if I don't say so myself.

Walking the Dog

Nathan likes to walk Milo, or at least he tries. It's quite a scene when the whole family goes out for a walk. Melissa and I can't decide which is tougher, watching Nathan or Milo.
