It's been awhile since we have updated the blog. Not a whole lot going on with us. Nathan just keeps changing daily. He is walking more and more. He is less baby and more little boy everyday. Here are a few pictures to show you what we are talking about.
We had a good trip to the desert. Nathan started to take steps on his own without being prompted and enjoyed playing with his toys and pushing Kory around in the wagon.
Nathan is ten months old today! He sprouted a new tooth today to mark the occasion. We went to the Dr. to get the flu booster and went a long walk around Lake Miramar with some friends. He also started his new swim class tonight. Nathan continues to work on his walking skills. Today he took a couple of steps without any prompting. Just two more months and we venture out of babyhood and into toddlerhood!!!!
Nathan's new obsession is his books. He climbs the stairs (with one of us following closely behind) and heads right into his room and starts pulling books down and turning the pages. So since today started off rainy and I didn't feel like staying indoors running up the stairs 90 times, I decided to take Nathan to Border's so he could look at new books. So he did what he does at home, started pulling them all off the shelf. Oh well, at least he is interested in them, right?
We got season passes to the zoo/wild animal park so we decided to make a short trip today. We went to the petting zoo, saw some small cats, then went over to the monkey and gorilla area. Nathan loved it. Oh yeah, they sell Corona so you can bet that Daddy will be much more willing to go in the future!
2007 was definitely one of the best years of our lives, considering it was the year that Nathan was born. We have watched him grow from an tiny helpless infant into a little boy over the past 10 months. I have a feeling that 2008 will also be full of new and exciting things. In fact, just today we saw Nathan take his first unassisted steps. Granted it was only 2, but each day he gets stronger and stands on his own for longer periods of time.
We had a great New Year's trip to Mexico. I think it might have been the first time since being a young kid that these eyes did not stay open to ring in the new year. The kids had a great time playing and pushing each other around on all the new toys. Even Nathan pushed Kory around in his new Radio Flyer (see below). TOO CUTE! The adults enjoyed happy hour on the patio and the big boys spent big bucks on the Mexican fireworks.
