We had another good weekend in Mexico. This was our first trip sleeping in the new trailer and it went well... except for the fact that Nathan doesn't like to fall asleep! Once he does, he's out but sometimes it's a tough ride getting to that point. Temps were just under 110 so he spent a good amount of time in the Wiemeyer house (thanks Wiemeyers!) to stay comfortable. Next trip probably won't be until Labor day since we have a great deal planned in between and it's typically too hot and humid from here on out.
Stay tuned for more pics. We leave for the Eastern Sierras on Thursday, then we head off to Oregon and Washington on the 23rd. We're trying our hardest to bring Nathan into our world!
Brian enjoyed his first Father's Day this weekend. We spent Saturday at the beach with my parents, Brian' mom and Kaitlin and Jared. Then Sunday we hiked up Cowel's Mountain with Nathan. He did well and my mom and dad made it up too!
Nathan is 14 weeks today and man does he change on a daily basis. Tonight after bath time we were just haning out playing on his activity mats and I realized he is getting close to rolling over. He has rolled a few time here and there, but only in anger and frustration. Now he is actively reaching when he's on his belly. He is trying to roll from back to tummy too, but seems to get stuck on his side.
I took Nathan to the Boys and Girls Club for a complimentary swim lesson. Their waiting list is too long so we enrolled him in a place down in Mission Beach but I figured I'd take advantage of the free lesson at this place anyway. The lady taught me a few different postions to hold him in and we played in the water for about 45 minutes. He loved every minute of it and handled putting his face in the water just fine. Looks like he picked up his Dad's love for the water. Let's hope it sticks!
Took Nate in the pool after messing around with our toy hauler. He seems to like the water. Daddy is definitely happy about that! He has a swim lesson this Wednesday and should start up regular lessons in the first of July.
THese pics are washed out but Melissa forgot to change the settings on the camera.
